Tenderly: A Women's Therapy Group
Wednesdays | September 16 – October 21
6:30–8:00 PM
What if healing wasn't changing yourself... rather meeting yourself with tenderness?
Many women spend years believing they need to become smaller, healthier, prettier, younger, stronger, or somehow "better" before they can fully enjoy their lives. Over time, these messages can become so familiar that they begin to sound like our own thoughts.
The inner critic.
The perfectionist.
The caretaker.
The part that compares.
The part that never feels like enough.
Tenderly is an invitation to slow down and meet those parts with curiosity instead of criticism.
Through expressive arts, reflection, psychotherapy, and gentle parts work, we'll explore the protective roles these parts have played in our lives while cultivating a more compassionate relationship with ourselves and our bodies.
This isn't about loving your body every moment.
It's about learning to stop living at war with it.
During our six weeks together, we'll explore...
The stories you've inherited about bodies, beauty, and worth
The protective parts that developed in response to those stories
How perfectionism, people-pleasing, and self-criticism attempt to keep us safe
Body neutrality as an alternative to shame and impossible standards
Expressive arts as a way to hear from the parts of ourselves that words can't always reach
Practices for cultivating greater self-compassion, trust, and connection
What to Expect
Each week includes:
Therapist-facilitated group discussion
Expressive art experiences (no artistic experience needed)
Reflection and journaling
Gentle mindfulness and body awareness practices
Opportunities to connect with other women in a confidential, supportive environment
This is a process-oriented therapy group. There is no pressure to create "good" art or share more than you're comfortable sharing.
Is Tenderly Right for Me?
This group may be a good fit if you...
Feel exhausted by your inner critic.
Are ready to move beyond dieting or appearance-focused self-worth.
Long for a more peaceful relationship with your body.
Are curious about the different parts of yourself and how they've helped you survive.
Appreciate creativity as a tool for reflection and healing.
Are willing to commit to six weeks of intentional therapeutic work in a supportive group setting.

Before We Begin
Because this is a psychotherapy group, each participant will complete a brief consultation with Allie before joining. This conversation helps ensure the group is a good fit for your current needs and gives you an opportunity to ask questions before we begin.
A Note About Therapy
Tenderly is a psychotherapy group facilitated by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. While creativity is an important part of our work together, this is not an art class or support group. The primary purpose of the group is therapeutic healing through the integration of expressive arts, reflection, and evidence-informed psychotherapy.
Join Us
Healing doesn't begin when you finally love every part of yourself.
Sometimes it begins much more quietly.
It begins the moment you decide to meet yourself... Tenderly.
First Moon Circle
Give your child a positive, empowered start to puberty and menstruation by joining a First Moon Circle, a meaningful, inclusive and joyful gathering that supports children through puberty and their first periods with confidence, body literacy, self-care, and emotional safety, going far beyond basic school-based education.
Our next First Moon Circle on September 19 (11–2) invites youth ages 9–12 and a trusted caregiver to come together to learn about and honor the changes that puberty brings. This gathering offers an empowering, engaging, and inclusive space that goes beyond the limited education often provided in schools. Together, we explore body literacy, menstrual health, cycle awareness, and self-care practices so young people can feel prepared, informed, confident, and supported as they approach their first period.
Participants will experience a creative and supportive environment where they can learn how to care for themselves, ask questions, and connect with others navigating a similar stage of life. Each participant will receive a thoughtfully curated gift bag, create a beaded bracelet alongside their caregiver as a keepsake, and take home a 22-page booklet filled with resources and guidance to support them through puberty and beyond.
Caregivers are encouraged to participate fully, with space toward the end of the circle for reflection, connection, and the opportunity to share encouragement and support as their child grows into this next phase of life.

Embark on a Refreshing Journey with the upcoming series of Vision Board Workshops at Art of the Heart!
Amidst the January buzz urging us to "fix ourselves," our social media is flooded with diets, wellness routines, and the algorithm's insistence on yet another self-help book. Productivity apps beckon with tempting discounts, pressuring us to urgently "get our act together" in the new year.
But what if we chose to defy this pressure?
What if we approached goal-setting and intention with a touch of gentleness and creativity?
Utilizing the wellness wheel, creativity and guided meditation, we aim to connect with the emotions we wish to manifest in the coming year. With the guidance of a licensed art therapist, you'll have the chance to craft a vision board reflecting these identified feelings and dimensions of wellness.
In this workshop, you'll:
Identify how you want to feel in the upcoming year.
Set intentions without succumbing to the rigid energy of hustling harder.
Create a space for self-expression without the weight of perfectionism.
What sets this workshop apart?
It doesn't dwell on what's wrong, instead on the feelings wanting to strengthen or increase in one's life
It's not about outcomes or adding more to your to-do list.
It allows the freedom for your goals to evolve over the coming days, weeks, and months.
This workshop is designed for anyone who:
Feels exhausted or overwhelmed at the mere thought of setting goals.
Seeks new & creative approaches to caring for mind, body & spirit
Is on the journey of self exploration, speaking kindly to themselves, and seeking change or improvement in their lives.
Wishes to carve out time for creativity, regardless of artistic experience.
Join us for a workshop that redefines goal-setting, encourages self-compassion, and invites you to manifest a year of authentic well-being.

The Art of Wintering: Finding Balance Amid the Holiday Rush
Friday, November 14 • 6 pm - 9 pm
Before the flurry of the holidays begins, take an evening to pause.
Inspired by Katherine May’s Wintering, this restorative retreat invites you to slow down, reconnect with your own rhythm, and create gentle practices for balance and rest in the busy season ahead.
Through meditation, creative reflection, and meaningful conversation, we’ll explore how to:
Balance giving and receiving during the holidays
Honor your body’s need for stillness and renewal
Create rituals of rest and joy
Redefine boundaries as acts of care, not resistance
Come as you are, tired, curious, hopeful, or simply needing space. Leave with a renewed sense of calm, creative clarity, and intention for the season ahead.
(This evening retreat is not therapy but may be deeply therapeutic in nature.)
open to all genders and individuals 18+

October Women's Lunar Art Circle
Women’s Lunar Art Circle
Each month, under the guidance of the moon, we gather in circle for an evening of creative exploration, reflection, and connection. The Lunar Art Circle weaves together meditation, art making, and seasonal themes to help you slow down and tune into the cycles of nature as mirrors for your own inner landscape.
This offering is held online, bringing together a supportive community where you can explore creativity as a practice of self-discovery and belonging. No prior art experience is needed, just bring your openness and curiosity.
open to all adults, (18+) that identify as female or non-binary.

The Creative Canvas: Open Art Studio
A Seasonal Open Art Studio for Exploration & Play
The Curious Canvas is a monthly creative gathering where wonder takes the lead and perfection has no place.
Each session begins with a gentle seasonal check-in and an open-ended prompt to spark your imagination. Then, you’re free to explore, paint, collage, sketch, stitch, or follow whatever medium calls to you.
Here, the focus isn’t on producing a finished piece. It’s about showing up with curiosity, letting the process guide you, and seeing where your hands and heart take you.
Bring your favorite materials or try something new. Come to recharge, experiment, and reconnect with your own creative rhythm.
