I’m Allie Bishop (she/her), an artist, licensed art therapist and licensed mental health counselor. I founded Art of the Heart as a place where creativity, healing, and presence could come together in a grounded, heart-centered way.

With a background in clinical art therapy, creative facilitation, and various healing modalities, I help individuals reconnect to themselves through intentional creative practices, community experiences, and therapeutic support. Whether we’re meeting in a one-on-one session, at a seasonal gathering, or in a welcoming open studio space, my intention is always the same: to hold a gentle, inclusive container where you can be fully with yourself, just as you are

ATR, LMHC | Artist. Therapist. Space-Holder.

My Approach

Rooted in the belief that we all have an inner well of creativity and wisdom, my work blends:

  • Art therapy, EMDR & trauma-informed care

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts informed work

  • Nature-based and cyclical living practices

  • A deep respect for creative process over product

I believe healing doesn’t have to be heavy to be real and that you don’t need to be an “artist” to access the power of creative expression.

Outside of the Studio…

You’ll likely find me walking in the woods, tinkering with plants in my garden, reading with a cup of tea, stitching, at a farmers market or making art just for myself (often with no end goal in mind).

I’m a lifelong student of the seasons and believe in honoring the cycles, inner and outer, that guide our lives.

Let’s chat!
